Relatively new ideas of lifting and semidefinite relaxation have recently helped shine a new light on the old problem of recovery of vectors from phaseless, or quadratic measurements. Coincidentally, quadratic quantities such as correlations are of great interest in imaging as they provide model robustness in migration and other imaging conditions. I will explain recent joint work with Paul Hand and Vincent Jugnon at the intersection of these two frameworks.
