De Hoop’s laboratory is seeking students interested in earning a doctoral degree in either mathematics, machine learning or Earth sciences. Interested individuals should contact Professor Maarten V. de Hoop in October or November of the year preceding anticipated entry, and apply via the Department of Mathematics, Electrical and Computer Engineering or the Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at Rice University.
