The past decade has seen tremendous progress in our understanding of recovering structured signals from underdetermined measurements. In this talk, we will discuss how these results apply to problems that require estimating a “channel” (the response between two points in space). Specifically, we will see how ideas from compressive sensing can be used to reduce the time it takes for forward modeling, acoustic source localization, and blind deconvolution.
